Reviews from our Sky Dancer guests

14 July 2007

Catherine and I have just returned from our June 28 - July 8 Galapagos voyage with Sky Dancer. We were delighted by the competence, professionalism, and friendliness of the entire crew. And of course there was the amazing average of six or seven whale shark sightings on EVERY dive at Darwin!

Naturalist Edwin, dive master Jimmie, steward Hugo, and panga driver Martin made our ten day 25th wedding anniversary celebration everything that we had hoped for -- and then some! Scuba diving since 1966 (instructor rating 1975, American Academy of Underwater Sciences and Penn State AACU Dive Safety Board 2004) , I've shared the oceans with many , voyaged on several live aboard boats, and stayed at land-based dive resorts from PNG to the Atlantic, Carribean and Pacific. . Peter Hughes Sky Dancer has established a high water mark. I'm looking forward to selecting the right Peter Hughes trip (Sun Dancer?) on which to take our son next May to celebrate his 2008 college graduation.

Many thanks to the Sky Dancer crew and to all those behind the scenes who contributed to our successful trip, including the Jennifer and the good folks at Reef and Rain Forest, and Ethan Gordon at Fathoms who organized everything and who provided me with a substitute strobe when mine flooded on the second day. Thank you to all.

From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for accepting my challenge and offering a "Big Animals" diving adventure for two weeks time frame on the Sky Dancer to Galapagos August 20 - September 03.

We had remarkable adventure to Galapagos in the past two weeks and it is mostly due to your blessing. This is a good place once again to praise the services of Peter Hughes diving, the sky Dancer team lead by Rafael the captain, his crew and the dive masters, Jaime and Miguel.

Our total sighting was as follow...41 whale sharks, 14 Manta Rays, Nine Mola Mola, about 300 Dolphins (counted:-))), approximately two Thousands (also counted:-))) hammerhead sharks - in 49 dives that were offered.

My best - and looking forward to share with you another BigAnimals adventure

Dear Peter and Santiago,

Having just returned from a week aboard the M/V Sky Dancer cruising and diving the Galapagos Islands, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know what an incredible experience I had both underwater and topside.

After discovering the Galapagos Islands, where I experienced marine life in diversity and quantities I have not seen anywhere else in the World, it is impossible not to be overwhelmed. Where else in one week can you get up close and personal with whale sharks, schooling hammerhead sharks, turtles, stingrays, mantas, dolphins, penguins, sea lions and exotic species too numerous to list?

The partnership between Peter Hughes and Ecoventura has created the vessel and crew that sets the standards for what a liveaboard diving experience should be. The Sky Dancer with its upscale cruise ship amenities and a crew that anticipates you every need, coupled with the unbelievable diving creates the perfect dive vacation.

Over the past 40 years in the diving industry the most asked question I get is Where is the best place in the World to dive? As you know, each great dive destination has its own unique and special qualities both underwater and topside and this has been a question I've never had an answer too until now. In the future if asked If I could go anywhere in the World for that once in a lifetime dive vacation where would you recommend? I can honestly and without hesitation answer The Galapagos Islands aboard the M/V Sky Dancer.

Thanks again for my once in a lifetime dive vacation.

Hi Sue and Peter,

Scott, John, Julie and I just got back from our week aboard the beautiful Sky Dancer. This was the trip that we went on with our voucher from the bad Grenada trip we did.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and commend your organization as well as the crew that works on the Sky Dancer. The week could not have been better. The boat, crew, and food was amazing! Though I did not think it possible, the service on board was superior to the last time John and I went.

We appreciate an organization that stands behind it product as you did, and then proves what they have stated all along. Peter Hughes Diving, in our opinion, is the standard setter in live aboard diving. We will recommend it to all our friends and plan to visit each of your fleets wonderful boats (probably more than once).

Thank you again for everything. Looking forward to our next adventure aboard a Dancer vessel.

Sincerely,

Robert, Julie, John, Scott.
